How it works
- Adults see everyone in the circle, get arrival notices and speeding alerts.
- Kids always see the adults, so they always know someone has them.
- Whether kids see each other is a switch the adults control.
Organizer and parents
Whoever creates the circle is the organizer. The organizer can name other adults as parents. Only the organizer and the parents let people in and decide who is a kid; other adults see everyone but don’t make those calls.
Anyone who joins a circle counts as a kid until the organizer or a parent marks them as an adult. Getting it wrong toward “kid” is fixed with one tap; getting it wrong toward “adult” would show a child where everyone is.
The same rule in every circle
If two kids can’t see each other in the family circle, they can’t see each other in any circle — not in one they create themselves, and not in grandma’s circle where nobody marked them as kids.
Nobody is invisible without knowing
This is the one rule FamTrip3 never bends. When a kid can’t see a brother or sister, they still see that the person is in the circle, by name — they just don’t see the location. Everyone can see who is an adult and who is a kid. There are no hidden members, ever.
Going private
Adults can go private in a circle with one switch. The circle sees that they went private, not a fake location, and what happened while they were private stays private. Kids can’t go private, turn sharing or trip history off in the app, block a parent or leave the circle on their own — their parents manage that.
Children under 13
FamTrip3 is made for families. Children under 13 may use it only with a parent or guardian who manages the family circle. They join with their parent’s invite code, and a parent gives permission before they become part of the circle. Until then, FamTrip3 doesn’t save their location and they can’t use Fam AI. Read the details in our Privacy Policy and the Parents’ Notice.
No selling to kids
Kids and teens never see paid plans or prices in FamTrip3, and nothing in the app asks them to buy anything. The family plan is managed by the adults.
